Douglas Laing / Douglas Laing

Big Peat (Douglas Laing) Review

Big Peat By Douglas Laing If you like your whisky smoky, barbecued or even BBQ'd and full of intensity then Big Peat by Douglas Laing is a cracking choice for you.

This blended malt includes, amongst others, whisky from Coal Ila, Bowmore, Ardbeg and Port Ellen. It really is a Meaty Chewy smoky dram and one worth trying.

So why not pop over to Master of Malt, order a bottle and try it.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Wooooofffft thats a peaty old chunk of a dram, huge wafts of smoke, bbq chicken and sweet chili notes, also a touch of sweet sugared almonds under the layers and layers of smoky goodness

Palate

more sugared almonds, nutty but sweet and huge smoke

Finish

very smoky, maybe a bit too much?!? but still a stunning dram
