Westons / Westons Cider

Henry Westons 2014 Vintage Perry Review

Henry Westons 2014 Vintage Perry So this time it's Perry, the traditional name for what many call now Pear Cider, an interesting drink from Henry Westons. Henry Westons is well known for Ciders and this pear cider is something I am really interested in.

I really enjoy the Swedish pear ciders, but aware they aren't produced in the same way as this Perry which is produced by fermenting pears.

So the nose is exactly what I want, but the palate is much more bitter peel than sweet conference pears, it's tasty but I have to admit to preferring the sweet Swedish pear cider to this at the moment.

I really do want to find a great Perry that is sweet on the palate, so if you have any suggestions please let me know.

Tasting Notes & Details

Sweet squished conference pears, hints of pear drops, and a really creamy yoghurt note it's like a lovely pear muller yoghurt. Sweet, but not sugary, it's fruit sweetness and very enticing.

More creamy and yoghurty than sweet, there's pears here but it's more bitter pear skins, and crushed pears but not sweet pears, tasty though

Drying, creamy and hints of bitter pear skins
