Rittenhouse Straight Rye 100 Proof Review

Rittenhouse Straight Rye 100 Proof I asked a lot of other whisky bloggers and twitterati a while back about rye drinks and was told that Rittenhouse was the one to look out for. I tend to prefer sweet to savoury so rye isn't always the thing for me to go for.

This dram has been sitting for a while until I got round to it, but let's give it a bash anyway and see what happens.

Well it's drinkable but definitely too savoury for my palate, I much prefer sweeter drinks and this is just too tangy and spicy for me. Some other rye based drams I've enjoyed but they've been tamed by an underlying sweetness this doesn't have that at all and is not for me, but if you prefer it savoury this will likely rock your boat
