Aberfeldy 21 Year Old Review

Aberfeldy 21 Year Old The Aberfeldy 21 Year Old is another of those drams that I've had on a good number of occasions but this is the first time I've got around to writing out my notes on it.

This review is from a sample that my good friend Steve (@steveprentice) from Somerset Whisky Blog sent to me a while back and I found in the back of the tasting cupboard when I was looking through.

Aberfeldy 21 year old is a damn nice dram, gentle and full,of honeyed goodness, and maltiness, with a gentle waxy citrus in the background, this is a delicious dram and for the price is really good value. I still have a bit of hope that it will at some point be bottled at a higher strength as I think the waxiness will come through stronger.

If you're looking for a reasonable priced 21 year old dram then this is a great choice.

Aberfeldy always has this sweet honeyed note that is apparent in all of their drams and it's here again, sweet honey, floral blossom notes, hints of oak wood sap and digestive biscuits with waxy pickled lemons

Sweet and malty, digestive biscuits topped with vanilla cream and fresh honey, sweet waxy lemons, floral gums and pressed flowers.
