Teeling 2002 Single Port Cask Review

Teeling 2002 Single Port Cask Thanks to my very good friend Jon (@dvdbloke) from Scotch and Sci-Fi for the sample of this port cask matured Teeling Irish Whiskey.

I've not had much Irish whiskey over the years, and my previous experience of Teeling was at a whisky live in london where I wasn't taking notes so it's nice to try this one.

I'm also a huge fan of port cask matured or finished whiskies so I was excited to taste this one.

This is seriously tasty, it comes across very much like grain whisky, very smooth and easy drinking, lots of sweet fruits and light syrup.

Very tasty makes me want to try other Teeling drams.

Thanks again to Jon for the sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

First thoughts, yummy!! It's massively fruity, lots of dark fruits, plums, raisins, peaches and cinnamon and nutmeg, edges of oak wood notes, acetone and a little furniture polish.

Cinnamon and nutmeg dusted plums and pears, with fresh fruit salad and light syrup, hints of black cracked pepper and oak wood sap.

Cracked black pepper and oak wood sap, with fruit and syrup
