Battle of the Blends Blend B Review

Battle of the Blends Blend B I was really excited to be asked to join in with the judging of this competition between Dave Broom and Neil Ridley.

More details on this available from here

My thoughts on this blend are that it definitely comes across much like the compass box hedonism, that brown bread and vanilla note is distinctive and I know it's not one of the ones mentioned but it tastes and noses so much like it and it's very light and fresh, lovely gentle and sweet I like this a lot.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Light brown bread, this comes across strongly like compass box hedonism, very light on the nose with vanilla, fresh light syrup, light toast, gentle Bramley apple slices, wood sap and a hint of light cinnamon

Palate

Light gentle smoke, touches of aniseed, light syrup and tinned pears, more light toast and Bramley apples, soft and gentle but plenty of fresh flavours

Finish

Light, tangy, fresh
