Glenlivet Nadurra Peated Cask Finish Review

Glenlivet Nadurra Peated Cask Finish A cask strength Glenlivet that has been finished in an American Oak cask that has previously contained heavily-peated scotch whisky.

This reminds me of the Balblair 1990 which was finished in an Islay cask that previously contained a heavily peated dram.

This is tasty, it's amazing because it really doesn't match the nose and palate, but both are just fabulous, the nose is subtle, the palate punchy, I want a bottle of this already.

If you want something sweet and smoky, it's definitely a dram you should look at.

Thanks to The Glenlivet for the official sample

Tasting Notes & Details

Gentle hints of smoke, with a touch of treacle toffee and Halloween treacle scones, liquorice and some green leaf vegetation, hints of chalk and tropical fruit jelly and a hint of tangtastics.

Chalky medicinal peat, I really wasn't expecting that from the nose, citrusy Edinburgh rock, treacle scones, molasses and green leaf, vegetation.

Treacle scones, molasses and Edinburgh rock.
