Glenlivet Nadurra Oloroso Cask Review

Glenlivet Nadurra Oloroso Cask Not too long ago I reviewed the Travel Retail version of this dram, which is bottled at 48% ABV, I'm really excited to try this higher ABV version which I'm hoping comes across like the Aberlour a'Bunadh.

This is cracking and much thicker on the palate than the travel retail version, this soaks up water but only a drop is the way to go here, or it becomes a little too tame for me.

The ABV really helps this with the spice, it's much sweeter, with a touch of water.

For me this high street version is way better than the travel retail version, it's just so much more rounded.

Thanks to The Glenlivet for the official sample

Tobacco leaves and stewed plums and prunes, raisins and dried apricots, hints of ground coffee and bitter dark chocolate, methol and hints of hiding in the background is a splash of that tropical fruit note that is familiar in Glenlivet

Palate

Spicy, tangy and with oodles of lovely stewed dark fruits, tobacco leaves and more haribo tangtastics, ground coffee and more of that menthol minty note and an oily mouthfeel.
