Laphroaig 32 Year Old Review

Laphroaig 32 Year Old Like the wave-washed granite walls of the Laphroaig distillery this extremely rare and unique expression has a rounded character. Sherry matured in hogsheads and bottled at cask strength this exquisite single malt has a profound character due to 32 years of maturation.

This is a great mix showing why smoke and sherry sweetness go together so well, it's very sweet which suits my palate and I just wish I had the pennies to buy one,

Thanks to Laphroaig for the official sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Initially a sweet but spicy dark fruit stew, lots of sweet plums, raisins, sultanas, apricots and nectarines with a mix of Christmas cake spicyness and then lots of cigarette ash smoke, bitter lemons and pickles, chalky sweets, vanilla cream and rum and raisin ice cream

Palate

Sweet and sticky with tangy spices, lots of juicy fruits and then chalky sweet smoke, medicinal smoke there also and then pickled lemons, and haribo tangtastics with crushed cloves.

Finish

Sweet and tangy, this is glorious
