Laphroaig Cairdeas 2015  The Laphroaig Cairdeas is the annual release for Feis Ile and this particular bottling celebrated the 200th anniversary of the distillery, distilled in 2003 and naturally presented the Caideas is always a special dram.

Light but very smoky, easy on the nose and palate, heavy but gentle also this is such a pleasure to dram on.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Light notes of cracked black pepper, light and malty with gentle notes of cigarette ash and medicinal peat, sour pickled lemons, pickled onions, hints of meatiness and biscuity, chalky fruitiness also.

Palate

Peppery and smoky, mixed Christmas cake spices, more of the smoky cracked black pepper with vanilla custard and creamy butter angel delight, cigar ash hiding in the background

Finish

Beautiful sweetness but tempered with custard and chalk with spices
