Nomad Outland Whisky Review

Nomad Outland Whisky Many thanks to my colleague Andy (@Andysinc41), for the sample of this interesting dram, a blend of aged malt and grain whisky matured in both scotland and Spain in pedro ximenez sherry casks.

This is a very similar concept to the "accidental" Sheep Dip Amoroso Oloroso bottling.

This is quite a nice drop, fruity, sweet, fudgey and interesting. It's easy drinking and complex enough to be interesting.

You can get a bottle for a reasonable price at Master of Malt

Thanks again to Andy (@Andysinc41 )for the sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Sweet toffee and super sweet sticky runny caramel, a hint of treacle, some oriental spices tickle the senses before 70%+ dark chocolate shavings, pencil shavings, vanilla essence and foam bananas, a hint of malt loaf and just a flash of balloon rubber

Palate

Sweet and spicy, quite boozy and dried fruits, with rum and raisin ice cream coming to mind, with vanilla fudge pieces on the top, still some foam bananas

Finish

Sweet vanilla fudge and caramel with a hint of oriental spices.
