Glen Garioch / Glen Garioch

Glen Garioch 12 Year Old Review

Glen Garioch 12 Year Old Another Glen Garioch bottling that I've had many times and had still to post notes on here so it's about time I got round to it.

I've always preferred this over the founders reserve as its a little sweeter and fruitier,

Easily picked up in most Whisky Specialists such as Master of Malt

Thanks to Glen Garioch for the official sample

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

There's still a hint of that lactic note from the founders reserve of mature cheddar, then it goes more woody sweet, like sweet pine cones and oak wood sap, before a squished fruit salad melds melon, Apple, mango, summer berries and more, a touch of wood spice rounds it of.

Palate

Such a lovely sweet start along with that punch from the 48% abv, then it comes and goes sweet fruits of melon and apple and gooseberries and wood spices, hints of honey and wood sap, very drinkable

Finish

Sweet and spicy, with fruit and wood sap
