Benromach Organic 2008 Review

Benromach Organic 2008 I really like the drams from this little distillery, the hints of smoke and underlying fruitiness comes out well in this organic dram with popcorn and American cream soda on the nose and sweet chalky Edinburgh rock on the palate, really nice dram,

Thanks to Benromach for the official sample

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Quite a raw vegetal note in here at first, lots of crunchy raw root vegetables, with a touch of smoke puffing around it, digestive biscuits and lightly toasted white bread, a touch of American cream soda and popcorn in the background also.

Palate

Sweet and fruity, dried fruits and chalky Edinburgh rock, grated ginger and raw vegetables with bready/doughy notes.

Finish

Sweet and spicy
