Tomatin Cask Strength Batch 1 Review

Tomatin Cask Strength Batch 1 I've been playing catch up with my whisky samples and drinking bottles for a while now and finally managed to catch up on this Tomatin Cask Strength Batch 1 .

I'm a huge fan of Tomatin and their drams at higher strength show off much more of the fruityness and complex nature that I love about them.
This dram is dangerously drinkable at full strength, lovely fruit notes, none of those youthful popcorn notes I was expecting as if i'm honest i thought this might simply be a fuller strength version of Legacy, a full rounded and great value for money dram, a definite purchase and whisky cupboard essential.

you can pick it up from my good spirits retailers including Royal Mile Whiskies.

Thnks to Tomatin for the official sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

Quite a strong blast of freshly scraped Madagascan vanilla coated juicy conference pears comes first, then more fruits, woody bramley apples, hints of orange zest, a twist of lemon oil, and some edges of cedar wood make this a fruity yummy combination on the nose.

A smooth oily mouthfeel that hides the strength of this, very drinkable at full strength, fruity oily orange peel and mixed pears, apples, oranges, raisins, figs and melon all mash together with a hint of cedar wood and spicy oak sap

Begins to warm and go spicy on the finish, very drinkable at full strength though
