Ardbeg Pertpetuum Review

Ardbeg PertpetuumThis years Ardbeg Embassy Feis Ile bottling (i.e. not the Committee Release available only at the distillery) is the Ardbeg Pertpetuum. This will be available on Saturday from Ardbeg Embassies (Check your local stockist for details or the Ardbeg website for more information) for approx £84.99.

Lots of really lovely creamy notes in here that i really wasnt expecting at all from this dram, along with the earthy peatiness and sweet citrussy notes you expect from Ardbeg.

If i'm honest this is probably the nicest of the recent NAS Ardbeg releases for me, the most palletable and the one i would drink most of.

My local Ardbeg Embassy is Royal Mile Whiskies why not try them for a bottle.

Thanks to Ardbeg for the official sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Creamy earthy peatiness, it's like creamed honey roast carrots, sweet potatoes, parsnips with that creamy earthy flavour, sweet lemongrass and fresh honeycomb on salty blue cheese, salty chipshop chips and hints of dark fruits

Palate

Sweet creaminess, with earthy honey covered roast veg, quite salty chippy chips, dark fruits, plum and nectarine with cloves, mulled wine like spice

Finish

Powerful earthy peat, that grows and grows
