Bowmore 16yr Wine Cask (Cadenhead’s) Review

Bowmore 16I'm still getting through my backlog of samples and this Bowmore 16yr Wine Cask from Cadenhead’s sample came from Matt (@mattveira) from Guildford Whisky blog.

Lots of sweet wine gums and juicy fruit chewing gum mix with traditional floral, heathery smoke on the nose, foam bananas are there also and a dessert wine thickness and sweetness on the nose also. the palate stays sweet but adds some tannin spices too.

A very drinkable wine casked dram, matured in a Gaja Barolo cask, this is one to look out for if you ever see it available.

This dram was available from Master of Malt so keep an eye on them for some more of the Cadenhead’s range

Thanks again to Matt (@mattveira) for the sample
