Arran Rum Cask Finish Review

Arran Rum Cask Finish A recent sample swap with David from Glenuntitled resulted in some very interesting whiskies to try including this single cask rum finish Arran.

My only other recent Arran was a SMWS example which was heavily sherried and i enjoyed vastly so i really didnt know what to expect when i poured this lovely dram.

For me ther Rum is there but isn't the biggest element which really works well for me, and i now feel i need to try a lot more of the Arran range.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

instant floral notes and grassy notes move into some acetone and then creamy with fresh tomato plant leaves

Palate

huge hit from the alcohol would suggest youthfullness in the spirit lots of cream and fruit there though with th e floral notes once the acetone fades

Finish

kicks like a mule, but not as long as you would expect, quite dry
