Secale Single Organic Malted Rye Review

SecaleThis Secale Single Organic Malted Rye was tasted way back in october 2013 as part of the #FrenchWhiskyTT organised by Franck (@LaCaveDeCobalt) to celebrate the third birthday of his blog at La Cave De Cobalt.

The notes from this tasting have all been sitting in my little note book since as for some reason i've forgotten about them, so time to dig them out and let them loose of the world.

This particular dram from Domaine des Hautes Glaces is a Rye whisky which on the nose is utterly fabulous, sweet, milky and sugary with vanilla yet the palate is sour, ashtray like and the finish i couldn't describe in any other way that yuk, from the nose the rest was a real dissapointment.

Thanks again to Franck (@LaCaveDeCobalt) for the opportunity to take part and apologies on the delay in posting.

Tasting Notes & Details

Vanilla, huge huge vanilla with a caramelised demerera sugar & condensed Milk l love the nose on this.
