Glenlivet Nadurra First Fill Selection Review

Nadurra First FillThis Glenlivet Nadurra First Fill Selection was first announced back in September and it really sounded very much like my type of dram with fresh vanilla and lots of ex-bourbon characteristics along with the tropical fruity notes associated with Glenlivet.

The extra strength, at 63.1%, really gives this dram some punch and there's such fabulous fruity notes in here, this really is up my street.

Not sure where this is available as yet but keep an eye out and snap one up to try when you see it.

Thanks to The Glenlivet for the official sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Really very sweet initially with tropical fruit juice and battered banana fritters with sweet passion fruit and papaya, fresh Madagascan vanilla and light sweet dessert wine like notes, and a prickle of heat from the alcohol

Palate

Big powerful mouthfeel fruit peel oilyness with that tropical fruit sweetness with fresh vanilla and hints of cherry bake well, there's a kick from the abv but it's very drinkable even without the addition of water

Finish

Sweet, still lots of sweet tropical juice passion fruit and a slight hint of bbq sauce and vanilla
