Arran / That Boutique-y Whisky Company

Arran Batch 3 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company) Review

Arran TBWCThis Arran dram was part of one of the Christmas Crackers that I was sent by Maverick Drinks.

It's a lovely dram with again that distinctive Arran combination of dustyness and sweet fruitiness, although there's also something a hint bitter in there also like balsamic vinegar.

The waxy orange comes across as unnatural and more like orange kitchen cleaner.

Batch 3 has sold out at Master of Malt but you can currently get batch 4

Thanks again to Maverick Drinks for the Crackers and sample.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

Very light, takes a lot to get anything big from it, light dusty clothing, almost tweed like and then muller light peach Melba yoghurts and Mandarin scented candles with orange kitchen cleaner

Palate

Sweet, but artificial sweetener sweet, with peach Melba again and hints of balsamic vinegar with sea salt crisps and waxy orange peel

Finish

Orange kitchen cleaner and balsamic vinegar
