Auchentoshan Bottle Your Own 2001 Review

Auchentoshan Bottle Your OwnI received my bottle of this Auchentoshan Bottle Your Own 2001 back in August when on my #IslayRoadTrip with Steve (@steveprentice) from Somerset Whisky Blog and Jon (@dvdbloke) from Scotch and Sci-fi when we stopped back at Auchentoshan on the way home.

I'm a huge fan of Auchentoshan and love the citrus, vanilla loveliness that comes through especially on the ex-bourbon casks like this one. I reminded me a lot of the Valinch series which i seriously enjoyed and really want to buy another bottle of.

This dram, distilled on 18th January 2001 was bottled on 30th August 2014, and you can see the amount of cask char at the bottle of the bottle in the picture.

Sweet, vanilla, citrus, floral, can you really ask for any more? i don't think so, a cracking dram.

Many thanks to Auchentoshan for their hospitality on the day and the very kind bottle.
