SMWS 48.19 - Magners Farewell Review

Isle of Jura So it turns out that Speed tasting is actually quite good fun, read more here, and this was the only one i hadn't previously reviewed.

Part of my membership pack from when i joined the SMWS this stunning whisky really does it for me, and it's the second 48.?? that i've had and i've been very impressed by both thus far.

the names on SMWS bottles are brilliant and Magners Farewell really does sum this up perfectly.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

First thought was apple cider, then freshly baked bramley apple pie with caramalised sugar, some light oak notes, very easy on the nose, could nose this all night long

Palate

stewed apples and caramelised sugar, vanilla pods and some cinnamon and cloves too

Finish

finish is big compared to the nose, lots to the back of the throat, still getting apples
