SMWS 42.14 Hot Water Bottle Review

The Scotch Malt Whisky SocietyBack in the early part of 2014 I stated that i wanted to review 100 The Scotch Malt Whisky Society expressions in 2014, and I thought recently that I wouldn't make it but this 96th post (thanks to Barry (@thewhiskyphiles) from The Whisky Philes blog) and others he has passed me samples of means it will happen before Wednesday evening.

This 42.14 Hot Water Bottle i have to be honest and say it's not really to my taste, from this particular distillery (both peated and unpeated) i get a note that really is cheesy, some examples from other bottles have been unbearably so, this one is more than plastic cheese string type which i don't mind. It's an interesting dram but unfortunately not one i would rush out to buy.

You can view all of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society drams i've reviewed in 2014 by clicking here.

If you are a whisky fan you really should consider joining The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
