SMWS 73.61 A Work of Art Review

The Scotch Malt Whisky SocietyThanks to Yoav (@yoavgel) from the Whisky Gospel blog for this sample of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society 73.61 A Work of Art which i'm sure Yoav gave me way back in August.

I really have taken to this distillery recently and the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society offerings from this distillery have been pretty special with 73.55 Apples and Pears still being one of my all time favourite drams. This particular bottling is more stewed dark fruits and vanilla but it's still fabulously good.

If you are a whisky fan you really should consider joining The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Tasting Notes & Details

Initially a drop of dark stewed prunes and raisins and plums and figs lots of stewed dark fruits with edges of Demerara sugar and cinnamon crunch topping it goes lighter and lighter becoming more fresh fruits and hints of cinnamon

Oh wow waxy oily and filled with notes of wet tobacco leaves and more of the stewed dark fruits, quite a bit of acetone and then some fresh melon and hints of strawberry

Fresh and zingy with hints of tobacco
