Aultmore / Aultmore

Aultmore 25 Year Old Review

Aultmore 25 Aultmore, like many of the Dewars portfolio of distilleries, was until very recently only available through Independent bottlings as the stock was mainly reserved for blending, this change has taken time to implement but the whiskies really shine so it's been worth the wait.

This 25 year old is the oldest of the bunch so far, a 12, 21 and 25, all bottled without colouring and at 46%.

Sweet fudge and toffee notes with maple syrup and lashing of marshmallows and an underlying leafiness that is almost vegetal, this is a cracking dram and one i really want a bottle of.

Tasted whilst on tour with Dewars.
