Glenturret / Famous Grouse

Famous Grouse Commonwealth Games 2014 Review

Famous Grouse This Famous Grouse Commonwealth Games 2014 bottling, which is actually a Glenturret Single malt distilled in 1986 (the last time the Commonwealth games were held in Scotland) and bottled in 2014.

Thanks to my good buddy Steve (@steveprentice) from Somerset Whisky Blog, for the sample.

An interesting dram with huge hits of Maltiness, very biscuity and a slight bit peppery. I've had a number of over Glenturret's over the years and this is a good one but not one of the best of them, an interesting collectible for sure, but for drinking i'd stick to some of the others.
