Jura 1976 - Feith A Chaorainn Review

Jura 1976 This Jura 1976 - Feith A' Chaorainn has for a while now been out of my reach but i managed to taste it recently and i was both a little impressed and a little disappointed.

There was a definite lactic note in here both on the nose and palate but i think this is more to do with oxidisation and bottle stock replenishment than anything else and was a little disappointing as the underlying fruitiness was fabulous.

Bottles are available from The Whisky Shop if anyone would like to buy me one for christmas.

Tasting Notes & Details

Initially there’s a lactic element on the nose of primula cheese but it’s very light and flowed by a lot of tinned fruit salad in syrup with lots of gentle fresh bitter pineapple and sweet peach

Again that light Primula cheese note and tinned fruit salad with fresh melon and hints of kiwi and spoonful of creamola foam

Creamola foam and fruit salad
