Jura Tastival (Whisky Festival Exclusive 2014) Review

Jura TastivalThis Jura whisky Tastival is the official Feis Ile Whisky Festival Bottling for 2014, and it's an interesting one for sure.

Lots of different casks have been used to make this and it dances about a little before it settles down to a decent dram, it's very gentle and light (may with the 44% strength as well though) with lots of sweetness and fruit salad chews.

If you fancy trying it you can still pick one up from The Whisky Exchange

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

There's a lovely sweetness here that comes at first with pear slices in syrup with fresh fruit salad hanging around in the background behind it there's a slight chalkiness in here too but it's just so light and fresh yumminess

Palate

Again it's very sweet and very subtle it's very easy to drink with fresh fruit salad and gentle tinned fruit syrup notes.

Finish

Sweet fresh fruit salad and hints of fruity Edinburgh rock creeping in
