The Macallan / Douglas Laing

The Macallan 15 Year Old Cask Sample (Douglas Laing) Review

Macallan 15 year Old sample This Macallan 15 year old cask sample was tasted back in April 2014 on a visit to Douglas Laing HQ in Glasgow.

Likely to become one of the Old particular or Directors Cut range this is a cracker of a Macallan and shows just how good this distillery can be.

Thanks again to Douglas Laing for having us over at their HQ and to Jan (@whiskyjan) for taking us through the whiskies.

Tasting Notes & Details

This is really fresh, bourbon notes of slight char and lots of madagscan vanilla mix with fresh galiea melon and mango

theres initially a hit of spice before lots of fresh fruit salad (melon, mango and papaya) come through

Spicy but theres a lovely freshness almost menthol there too
