Strathearn Heather Rose Gin Review

Strathearn Heather Rose GinPart of my birthday present back in May from my wife was the Strathearn Gin triple pack, from which this Heather Rose Gin was part of it.

Another cracker of a gin, this one has soft citrus fruits combining with floral nots and rosewater turkish delight, very delightful stuff indeed.

If you fancy trying it though why not grab a bottle or a sample from Master of Malt

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

(straight) initially very citrussy on the nose, lots of lemon and lime peel, sweet vanilla creeping in and then there's rosewater, very much turkish delight - the proper stuff - to me with some floral notes.

(with tonic) rosewater turkish delight, almost jelly like and lots of citrus notes coming in along with it.

Palate

(straight) sweet citrus fruits then bitter lemon creeps in, cloudy lemonade and hints of flora, does remind me or rolling through heather when hillwalking as a kid

(with tonic) sweet citrus and rosewater, some heathery flora notes underlying it

Finish

(straight) builds quite spicy on the end of the palate.

(with tonic) sweet and citrussy.
