New Zealand Whisky Collection South Island Review

New Zealand Whisky Collection South Island Single MaltA really well named whisky is this New Zealand Whisky Collection South Island which does instantly give you tropical notes on the nose, a wonderfully fruity, vanilla filled explosion of flavour.

This was my favourite from the range tried and one that i'd happily have in my drinking collection.

You can pick up a bottle over at Master of Malt to try for yourself.

Many thanks to Erik (@thewhiskykiwi) the UK ambassador for sorting out samples of this New Zealand Whisky Collection dram.

Tasting Notes & Details

a really tropical note on this one that really workd with the "south island" title as i initially get notes of lovely green almost ripe bananas and some sweet tropical juice that reminds me of Um Bumgo juice cartons it's super sweet and mellow on the nose with no nip, or spice there at all.

gentle and subtle, with a slight oaky/malty note coming first before the gentle madagascan vanilla comes in followed by more lightly diluted um bongo

sweet, gentle, vanilla, fruit
