Springbank / Scotch Malt Whisky Society

SMWS 27.107 To The Manor Born Review

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society This was tasted as part of the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society Glorious 12 Rare Whisky and Game Tapas tasting which i attended with some friends and this was 27.107 To The Manor Born with some amazingly juicy venison.

This pairing was the one that worked best for me, an oily, dirty, slightly peaty/very malty sweet dram with juicy, venison, who could resist that..

I really can't recommend enough the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

A wonderful mix of sweet sweet sherry notes and dirty engine oil entwined with lots of sweet juicyness and hints of gentle malty smoke

Palate

oh wow oh wow this is huge and oily with a dirty engine oil and sweet notes with hints of clove and tropical fruit juice

Finish

this one hints hard and fast and keeps going, yummy
