Initially a large hit of caramel wafts from the glass before it becomes much more carrot cake cake mix, with dark sweet fruits and a hint of pepper tickling the nose
This dram was part of a tweet tasting held by Steve Rush (@thewhiskywire) from The Whisky Wire and Tomatin (@tomatin1897) to sample the new Cuatro series. Unfortuanatley i took ill at the time and had to catch up a few weeks later.
This is the second of the 4 drams, each of them 12 years old and finished for their last 3 years in different sherry casks, this one being the Manzanilla sherry cask.
You can buy this dram and the others in the range from The Whisky Exchange
Thanks again to Steve Rush (@thewhiskywire) from The Whisky Wire and to Tomatin (@tomatin1897) for the chance to sample the Cuatro series
