Wemyss Malts Peat Smoked Herring Review

Wemyss Malts Peat Smoked Herring I tend not to drink smoky, peaty drams over the summer, in fact when it's really warm I tend to move to long drinks with whisky or gin instead of my normal drams but I found time for this Wemyss Malts Peat Smoked Herring recently and so time to chat about it.

A 2001 vintage and it's really a bit different to what i was expecting, i'm used to a bit of the seaside air but this really does have that pleasant fish sauce type nose to it and lots of citrus too which i like. I'm not big on seafood bu this really did smell fantastic and the palate was big and strong to match the lovely nose.

Once to watch out for that's for sure.

Thanks to Wemyss Malts for the official sample
