Bunnahabhain / Lady of the Glen

Bunnahabhain 26yr (Lady of The Glen) Review

Lady Of The Glen I've been lucky enough to try a couple of whiskies from Lady of the Glen now and i've been impressed with the quality of the drams from this small independant bottler and this dram is no different.

Full of sherry soaked sweetness and with hints of a peated background popping up here and there, this is an dram that throws up new and interesting flavours everytime your nose goes near it, a very enjoyable and easy drinking dram, if you want something different from your Bunna this is one to try.

Thank you to Gregor of Lady of the Glen for the official sample, why not pop over to their website and pre-order a bottle for yourself

Tasting Notes & Details

Theres an initial note that I cant quite decide if its either malty or peaty but I think its more malty then it becomes more chocolate covered sherry soaked raisins and gentle chalkiness with hints of lemon and lime boiled sweets

There's some definite smoke here with sherried fruits, edinburgh rock chalkiness, lemon peel and a twist of ground black pepper

Ground black pepper with chocolate covered raisins
