SMWS 44.61 - Flower bouquet with a love note Review

SMWS Clans and Drams This 44.61 - Flower bouquet with a love note was tasted at the beginning of the month when I went along to the Scotch Malt Whisky Society's clans and drams opening feast at the vaults in Edinburgh with my good friend Niall (@niallbenzie).

A fantastic opening dram to the evening and i would highly recommend this dram, from the Sweet Fruity and Mellow clan to anyone looking for a lovely opening dram for a tasting.

Remember you can find out your clan and declare your #clansanddrams allegiance by taking the survey on the SMWS Clans and Drams website or if you know you're clan you can get a bottle recommendation by spinning the flavour wheel.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

iniitally there's a touch of sweet and salty, with sweet toffee and caramel and a salty (rock salt) edge very much like salted chocolates which i love, then chocolate covered poppets, a lovely start to any tasting

Palate

Toffee and salted chocolates with a real seaside saltiness, very easy to get used to

Finish

long salty tangy with a touch of toffee
