Wemyss Malts Lord Elcho 15 Year Old Review

Wemyss Malts Lord Elcho 15 Year OldAs new Technology meets every industry, including this one as I post this review from the train using mobile internet somewhere in the ether between Newcastle and Darlington, there are some things in the whisky industry that remain the same, the need for good quality premium blended whisky is one of them.

This dram. launched by Wemyss Malts, back in September 2012 was their first forray into the Premium blended whisky range and a brilliant start it is. If this is the beginning of a journey into more premium blends then we can expect a lot of very good drams to come.

A high malt content is shown immediately on the nose with the malty, brown bread notes, followed by layers of sweetness, citrus and other fruits, well balanced and well worthy of the pice tag.

Drop over to Master of Malt and pick up a bottle to try for yourself.

Once again many thanks to Wemyss Malts for the official sample.
