SMWS 124.3 All the Complexities of Summer Review

The Scotch Malt Whisky SocietyThe first of two Japanese The Scotch Malt Whisky Society drams provided as samples from the very awesome Joe McGirr (@smwslondon) from the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society's London venue. Both of us shared the two drams and the reviews are of our own favourites of the two, with Neil preferring 124.3 All the Complexities of Summer.

A cracking dram, and Neil loved the real surprise of sweetness on the palate on this one.

Many thanks to Joe McGirr (@smwslondon) for sending us these fantastic Japanese drams from the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Tasting Notes & Details

A very nice intro of light fruit, picking up on peaches and pears, sweetness and freshness of cut grass. There is a definite presence of the sherry cask. A strong but delicate nose for 61.9%.

Wow! Hit with sweetness and thickness, definate milk chocolate, honey and hints of nuts. Similar to toblerone. Silky smooth and again hit with sweetness like condensed milk or ovaltine. A lot of flavours that really make you smile.

A lip smacking long and winding finish with the sherry appearing at the end. Really delightful and certainly backs up the Complexities of Summer.
