More from the feature on whisky bloggers this time from something a bit different as we head over to the world of video and chat with Joe Ellis (@whiskytube) from Whisky Wednesday who reviews whiskies on Youtube every Wednesday.

Why did you start your Whisky website/Channel?

When I first started working in the drinks industry I noticed on Twitter that on Wednesdays people would post about drinking whisky and give it the hash tag "Whisky Wednesday". I thought that would be a great idea for a weekly video blog. No one else posts reviews on a select day every week without fail so I wanted to get in there before anyone else did! Also, by doing a video every week I'm guaranteed to try a different whisky every week for the whole year!

What is your earliest Whisky Memory?

My earliest whisky memory is going to visit an old family friend (a lovely old woman) who always had a decanter full of whisky. She'd always offer my dad some. I was way too young to try it but it always intrigued me. My earliest memory of drinking whisky was when I was 9, sneaking into my parents cupboard under the stairs and trying some Glenfiddich! I hated it!

In no particular order what 3 Whiskies would you recommend to someone new to whisky?

The 3 whiskies I would recommend people new to whisky to try are Lagavulin 16 Year Old, Benriach 12 Year Old and Compass Box Spice Tree

Money no object, what Whisky would you love to own and open?

If money was no object I would love to own and open is the Dalmore Zenith. Purely because there's only one bottle in the world!

Would you have any tips for other Whisky drinkers?

My tip for other whisky drinkers is to try as many different whiskies as possibly and not just stick to your favourite. You'll be seriously depriving yourself of a great journey in the best spirit in the world!

Why should people visit your website/channel?

People should watch my videos if they want a light hearted approach to whisky reviewing. Also my videos aren't too long either so you can watch on your commutes to and from work!

Many thanks to Joe who posts his videos every Wednesday and why not check out his latest video review below
