A One to One with some 121s Review

. The Scotch Malt Whisky SocietyThere are certain distilleries that i absolutely love from the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society and 121 is one of them as bottle 121.50 was one of my very first and one that really showed me how good they can be, this pair of drams really showcase the differences between Single Cask whiskies and are both fabulous and very drinkable but both very unique.

If pushed I would have to say the 121.64 Maggie Thatcher at the Funfair is my favourite of the two, but then I could easily drink both, this is definitely a distillery to watch out for when you see the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society outturn pop through the door.

If you're a whisky fan then the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society really is for you.

. The Scotch Malt Whisky SocietyYet another interesting once from the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society this is the 121.67 - Energising & Enigmatic

Again the differences in Single Cask whiskies are prominent here with gloss paint and sweet fruits mixing with chocolate limes and pepper to give a different, unique, interesting, confusing experience, a lovely dram with a great title.

If you're a whisky fan then the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society really is for you.

Tasting Notes & Details

Nose

i've popped my nose in this glass a few tiems before writing any notes as i just couldn't get what it was, it's a mix of gloss paint - the good quality dulux stuff - along with some walkers sweet chili sensations crisps, some hints of gentle citrus fruits, in the form of the yellow starburst (opal fruits) coming through here also with even some chocolate limes after a while too.

Palate

An initial hit of spicy pepper which calms down and becomes sweet chocolate limes and starburt with pepper coming back in strongly

Finish

Peppery and mouthwatering, a very interesting one this one
