Another awesome barley variant from the geniuses at Bruichladdich I was seriously looking forward to trying this one.
I'm a huge fan of Bruichladdich and anything that uses local or Scottish barley as its base is a good thing for me.
I really like the drams from this little distillery
Benromach seem to be doing everything right at the moment, their updated 10 year old is getting a lot of attention and the 100 proof version is an outstanding dram,
This Benromach 10 Year Old, which was rebranded in 2014, is a dram that arrived on the scene to much acclaim and award,
I really really enjoyed the highland park single cask from the Edinburgh Whisky guys so I was really looking forward to trying this 2007 sherry cask Glenlivet.
After the first blend from Edinburgh Whisky I was interested to try this single cask bottling from them also.
The first release from Edinburgh Whisky, this blend starts what I hope will be a great range of blends with local references, really interested to see where they go from here.
These age statement anCnoc drams are still new to me but I'm really excited by them,
This Distillery Exclusive from The Dalmore is a dram I was really excited about, it's not often we get higher strength The Dalmore
I've not had a huge amount of anCnoc with either age statements or vintages so I was really looking forward to this dram and it didn't disappoint,
This Anonymous Batch 1 dram comes from the Rare Cask range from Abbey Whisky, a range of very nice single cask bottlings.
I've had a bit of a Rollercoaster ride when it comes to whisky from Tobermory, including the Ledaig peated versions, with some i loved and some i hated, so i was quite aprehensive about this dram.
This 11 year old 2003 vintage Glendronach was bottled exclusively to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of The Green Welly Stop in Tyndrum.
The last batches of this Glendronach Cask Strength have been fabulous and i expected no less for this one.
I really like seeing nice new young expressions where the producers aren't afraid to admit the age of the whisky, there's no need not to in my opinion.
I have to admit to having not partaken in enough from Linkwood Distillery to know a massive amount about it other than i've liked all the ones i've tried,
There is one distillery that many people have as their holy grail of currently still producing distilleries and that is the Campbeltown distillery of Springbank.
Back in January, the 10th of January to be precise, I was in Edinburgh with my gorgeous wife and we stopped off at the Cadenheads shop for a look.
When this dram was announced back in April it was one that I really fancied trying as Littlemill's are becoming rarer
