This new range of single grains is right up my street, after the Clan Denny 9 Year Old Strathclyde I'm even more excited about the possibilities in this range as that dram is one of my all time top dr
I was lucky enough to try a number of Girvan drams not long ago so I was excited to try this bottling from Douglas Laing also.
A Single Grain whisky from the same distillery as Haig Club but by the guys from Douglas Laing oh now this is going to be interesting.
A Single Grain whisky from Douglas Laing now thats always going to be something that will intrigue me, the fact it's a 21 Year old from North British even more.
I'm becoming more and more a fan of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottlings from this distillery
I've had this The Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottling, and others, in the house for a while now and keep meaning to get round to them, work and life has gotten in the way of my drinking.
I really enjoyed the original Green Spot but this wine matured version really did intrigue me so I was really excited when this sample arrived.
Like the wave-washed granite walls of the Laphroaig distillery this extremely rare and unique expression has a rounded character.
This limited edition Laphroaig was distilled throughout 1993 and matured in various cask types to give it greater colour, more intense vanilla and subtle spice notes.
The Laphroaig Cairdeas is the annual release for Feis Ile and this particular bottling celebrated the 200th anniversary of the distillery,
Laphroaig 15 was first created 30 years ago. Barrels were selected for their particularly mellow rounded flavour, then batch bottled at the higher export strength of 43% abv.
With there being lots of interest in yamazaki after last years whisky bible believing that a yamazaki sherry cask was the best whisky in the world
Many thanks to my colleague Andy (@Andysinc41), for the sample of this interesting dram,
The first Scapa I've reviewed on the site,
Another Glen Garioch bottling that I've had many times and had still to post notes on here so it's about time I got round to it.
I've had this dram what feels like a hundred times in the past but I still continue to forget to write notes
I was lucky enough to try the work in progress to this late last year and was suitably impressed
I’ve not had a huge amount of Royal Brackla in the past, really just an The Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottle and the 16 year old work in progress back when i visited as part of the last great malts
I Was seriously looking forward to this organic barley, I love trying different barley options and this was no different.
The 2006 version of this dram was one of my favourite drams ever it was just so damned tasty so this was one I was really looking forward to trying.
