I picked up this bottle of Jura 1998 Elements Fire whilst at the distillery in 2014 and opened it recently for a few drams.
Thanks to Andy (@andysinc41) for this sample of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society 5.48 Stave New World from one of my favourite distilleries.
This The Scotch Malt Whisky Society dram I've had sitting about for a while, I believe it didn't appear on the official outturn and is one of only 147 bottles matured in a 2nd fill port barrique.
Another from Henry Westons is this Rosie's Pig which I tasted on a recent night out in Edinburgh
I tasted this Bowmore Tempest Batch 5 whilst at the Morning Masterclass at The Scotch Whisky Experience in March 2016.
I tasted this Aberlour aBunadh Batch 53 whilst at the Morning Masterclass at The Scotch Whisky Experience in March 2016.
I tasted this Strathclyde 13yr Cask Strength Edition whilst at the Morning Masterclass at The Scotch Whisky Experience in March 2016.
I tasted this Cutty Sark 12 Year Old whilst at the Morning Masterclass at The Scotch Whisky Experience in March 2016.
Glen Scotia is one of those distilleries where i really quite like the character of and yet i'm guilty of not trying or buying as much of it as i would normally.
Another cider this time a Stowford Press which i tried in the Bow Bar, which still holds the title as the first Edinburgh pub i ever drank in bank in 1992.
Another cider this time a Black Dragon from the guys and gals at Gwynt Y Ddraig in Wales.
Inchgower is one of those distilleries that i've not had much experience of, my only other review being a single cask from Wemyss Malts called Pears and Almonds, so i was excited to try this flora and fauna bottling.
Thanks to Andy (@andysinc41) for the sample of this Arran circle single cask bottling from cask number 42 bottled 17 October 2007 bottle number 359 of 381.
This recently released and exclusive to The Whisky Exchange single cask sherry cask Redbreast Irish Whiskey really is one I was interested in trying so really happy when this sample arrived.
I've seen this 3l bag in a box Thatchers Heritage in the local ASDA quite a few times recently so decided to give it a try.
So I've said before, a number of times, that ex bourbon or American oak tends to be my preference and especially with Glenrothes so I'm a little apprehensive at this but also trust the guys and gals at Wemyss Malts who I tend to trust with their cask selection.
Glenrothes is one of those distilleries where I generally prefer ex bourbon or American oak matured so I'm really keen to be trying this 1997-2014 dram matured in a hogshead.
Yet another for me to try from the Gordon and MacPhail Wood Makes the Whisky campaign is this 1974 Vintage Glenlivet which is a seriously exciting thought trying a dram distilled a year before my birth.
The amazing drinks geniuses at Douglas Laing recently announced this Cask Strength version of Rock Oyster from their Remarkable Malts series so really excited to try this.
Another from the Gordon and MacPhail Wood Makes the Whisky campaign this Macallan 2006 from the Speymalt series looks very interesting for what is effectively a 9 year old Macallan.
