Another dramtastic Tweet Tasting with Steve Rush (@thewhiskywire) from The Whisky Wire and a selection of Speyside wonders from Douglas Laing
My first review of a whisky from this distillery, i picked up a sample of this Dailuaine 16 Year Old - Flora and Fauna whilst on a tour of Glenkinchie distillery.
Dailuaine, one of Diageos core drams, is one that i tend to find myself going to fairly regularly when i see it by independant bottlers but i kept missing the 16 year old flora and fauna bottlings for some reason.
Part of a series of six new Burns Malt single cask single malt releases from The Whisky Barrel this is the Dailuaine 20yr Burns Malt.
I like it when whisky companies have the balls (sorry I know that’s not entirely PC but it’s the best term for it) to put the age of a young whisky. Not many do it, mainly independents when they are or bottles like Kilchoman who did this for some time.
This Dailuaine 7 year old Provenance was part of the Sippin Speyside Facebook tasting by the guys at Douglas Laing
This Dailuaine 7 year old from Douglas Laing's Single Minded range was tasted as the first dram of the day at a visit to their Glasgow headquarters.
From March's Scotch Malt Whisky Society outturn this is 41.58 - Juicy, Juicy, tart and fruity
