Been a wee while since I’ve had a Tullibardine dram and when I seen the Sauternes cask finish i thought it was definitely worth a try.
Tullibardine seems to be a distillery I've enjoyed much of but not really drank much of, and I think this is the first time I've reviewed an independent bottling of Tullibardine so I was really looking forward to seeing how tasty an independent bottling of this would be.
Tasted as part of the tour of Tullibardine Distillery this Tullibardine Aged Oak Edition is a brilliant wee fruity dram.
Tasted as part of the tour of Tullibardine Distillery this Tullibardine Banyuls Finish is a cracking alternative to sherry and port.
Despite being a distillery that I have partaken of a fair amount i haven't written too many reviews for the whisky, so i will try to fix that in the future.
Tullibardine is a distillery I've not spent nearly enough time with, despite liking a number of their drams, from the old discontinued Banyals Finish to the 225 Sauternes cask i tend to like them a little sweeter and in both these circumstances finished in wine casks.
