I have a love hate relationship with Highland Park with some being ones i love and others i don't so when i was invited to join a twitter tasting to sample the new 12 year old single cask which will be exclusive to London Gatwick airport i jumped at the chance.

Another single cask Highland Park this is from the Douglas Laing XOP range, a 21 year old from what looks again to be ex-bourbon which really works for me.
Executive Decision is the non UK version of Douglas Laing's Directors Cut branding with the liquid split between the two brands.
I've had some good drams in the past couple of years, and being a Whisky Blogger has meant i've had access to some of the best whisky on the market.

Another really interesting No age statement dram from Highland Park showing that it is possible to create some lovely rounded drams that dont have to have the youthfulness of others.
I was really excited about this release, I like Highland Park, especially the ex-bourbon matured variants, and i love port matured whisky so this sounded right up my street.
Initially tasted as part of the #HPsecretTT held by Steve Rush (@thewhiskywire) of The Whisky Wire and Highland Park, although i have also tasted further from an official sample from Highland Park
