There is one distillery that many people have as their holy grail of currently still producing distilleries and that is the Campbeltown distillery of Springbank.
There's always the occasional dram that really jumps out and surprises you and this was one of them, a fabulous single cask bottling of 21 year old Springbank at Cask Strength.
If there is a distillery in Scotland that showcases the "dirty" nature of Scotch whisky and the complexities that comes with it, then it's Springbank, some rave about this distillery, it's one i can enjoy but it's not my favourite.
This cracker is from the Springbank Distillery and comes with a superb comicbook-style label featuring Caskstrength.net's Neil and Joel operating Springbank's old Porteus Mill.
This is yet another interesting dram, being the Springbank Society bottling from November 2013, which is a 12 year old Springbank matured in Fresh Port.
