First of two reviews of whiskies from the brilliant Welsh Distillery Penderyn. This first one is Penderyn Icons of Wales The Red Flag Edition
Penderyn Port Wood
Just before Christmas i tasted this Penderyn Sherrywood as part of the Festive Drams tweet tasting from Steve Rush (@thewhiskywire) from The Whisky Wire and Arkwrights.
If it wasn't enough that my last two reviews were not from Scotch Whisky, it may be now as this review is for the lovely Penderyn Welsh Whisky.
This Scotch Malt Whisky Society 128.6 Rumbling reverberating resonances is a Welsh whisky matured in a first full ex Madeira wine cask and I'm expecting it to be filled with fruity juicy sweet notes and maybe a dash or three of spice.
