Glencadam is a distillery that always gets me a little, i generally like the liquid, but for some unknown reason i tend not to spend much time drinking it, and i don't know why.
Glencadam is another of the distilleries i need to spend more time with, I have tried a lot of the range but at times when taking notes was anything but the best option, I do not think it is fair to do notes at certain times without giving the whisky all of your attention.
Being the age I am it's not that often that i get to try whiskies older than i am, although i do happen to have tried quite a few, and even rarer to try ones the same age as me but this Glencadam 1975 from Independent bottlers Montgomeries was distilled when i was but a month old.
I loved the previous Rare Casks series from Abbey Whisky so was really excited to try this Glencadam 22 Year Old.
I’ve not experienced a lot of Glencadam, in fact this is the first distillery bottling i've reviewed which is shocking, it’s almost a bit of a forgotten distillery for me and i know i really should be drinking more of it, so i’m excited to taste this Origin 1825 expression.
