Tasted as part of a Tweet Tasting organised by Steve Rush (@thewhiskywire) of The Whisky Wire in conjunction with Arkwrights and all the whiskies tasted were grain whiskies.
Nothing beats having a lovely rare bottle and this is certainly one its a Cameronbridge 19 year old single cask grain whisky bottled by Cadenheads and this was a 20cl cask end from it.
When someone suggested matching this Cameronbridge 24 year old with a spiced mixed fruit scone with clotted cream and mixed fruit jam i was a little sceptical, but it was an absolute delight.
A Single Grain whisky from the same distillery as Haig Club but by the guys from Douglas Laing oh now this is going to be interesting.
Announced to a fanfare I've tried this a few times now and always been hesitant to write notes as i would be the first to admit it's not for me.
